What we did

The business mission's goal was to initiate foreign trade deals and promote the goods of Perm Krai entrepreneurs on the Turkish international market.
Objective: hold more than 50 meetings with target buyers.
Number of Russian exporters: 8.

Work stages

Preparatory work

  • Sourcing a venue for the event — the Crowne Plaza Harbiye in Istanbul.
  • Introductory interviews with all exporters to clearly understand their business specifics, target audience, selection criteria, and search for relevant buyers.
  • Analysis of company activities and preparation of a brief on the main requirements/barriers of the foreign market for each exporter's products.
  • Translation of companies' presentation materials into Turkish.
  • Preparing the business mission's business program with the participation of the Russian Trade Representation in the Republic of Turkey.
  • Holding an online conference with a Turkish business consultant on Russian exporters entering the Turkish market (barriers, business pitfalls in Turkey, buyer mentality, competitors).

Sourcing buyers, arranging meetings

  • Building out the database of potential buyer partners.
  • Compiling and agreeing longlists for each company.
  • Scheduling and confirming meetings between buyers and exporters.
  • Resolving any other business program matters.

Support before and during the business mission

  • Designing and producing souvenir items with the logos of the business mission's participating companies.
  • Providing transport support for participants throughout the business mission.
  • An orientation talk on the national customs and traditions of the Republic of Turkey.
  • Providing interpreters.
  • Greeting and registering event guests, and formally introducing both sides.
  • Post-meeting surveys.
