What we did
As part of Moscow Publishing Week, held as a reverse business mission, 17 leading publishers from near and far abroad — China, Brazil, Argentina, Mexico, Egypt, Syria, Serbia, Turkey, the UAE, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Uzbekistan, and Kyrgyzstan — visited Moscow. More than 20 Russian publishing houses took an active part, creating a unique platform for building direct international contacts.
Over three packed days, participants took part in panel discussions and round tables, discovered the latest releases in Russian literature, and held productive B2B negotiations and on-site meetings. Special attention was given to the Peredelkino House of Creativity — a key center of cultural heritage, where a translation residency was also held as part of the business mission with leading Arabic-language translation specialists. This reverse business mission format not only introduced foreign guests to the Russian publishing market, but also created a platform for long-term cooperation and the exchange of experience.
